Overview

Welcome to NinjaTrader Account Manager, the only continuous monitoring software for NT8

PreviousTroubleshootingNextHow It Works

Last updated 1 month ago

NinjaTrader Account Manager is only available with Pro subscriptions and above. .

NinjaTrader Account Manager (NAM) is a continuous account monitoring software for the CrossTrade platform, integrated into the NT8 add-on, that provides automated management of trading accounts based on intraday profit/loss (P/L) thresholds and time-based flattening.

You can access it from the tab on the side panel of the web dashboard.

Each managed account is associated with a "Monitor", which tracks its P/L and triggers predefined actions when configurable thresholds are reached. Monitors are uniquely identified by their associated account and store user configuration parameters, including profit and loss targets, alert preferences, and end-of-day flattening times.

NAM employs a polling mechanism that evaluates account positions every 2.5 seconds, and client-side logic which executes a set of pre-defined actions (based on configured settings) when a defined trigger is reached.

This means as soon as the profit or loss level is detected, the CrossTrade Add-On will detect it, flatten the account, and report back to the CrossTrade servers.

Important Notes

  • NAM is designed for intraday management; it is not compatible with accounts holding overnight positions. A flat account at session open is required for NAM.

  • The "session" resets at 6 PM ET every day

  • The system relies on a stable server connection for full functionality. Connection issues may affect automated actions.

  • NAM is intended as a tool to help with risk and account management and should not be interpreted as any form of guarantees. It's important that a trader or risk manager takes responsibility for monitoring actions in each account, and configures parameters appropriately.
